Things don’t happen to you they happen for you. With this point of view, you can change the way you succeed in life. Things can either make you strong or they can break you, a lot of times it’s just easier to be broken then to hold yourself together and see your task all the way through. To complete your vision utilizing the hurdles that come at you. To have that mindset sometimes it’s hard to remember during the moments and times of struggling pain. The ones who live without fear of failure and embrace it tend to succeed. For someone who cares to show the youth no matter where you come from, no matter your disabilities, no matter the trials and tribulations that are against you, success is right around the corner. .
How do you feel creativity and optimism is important to our generation?
“I don’t believe in circumstances”. That quote by George Bernard Shaw has always resonated with me, because I am proof that where you start doesn't determine where you finish. At just 18 years old, I graduated high school, earned my associate's degree in Computer Networking from DeVry University, and completed the Chicago Police and Fire Training Academy all within the same week. By age 20, I had already received my bachelor's degree two years ahead of my time.
I grew up on the West Side of Chicago in Lawndale a neighborhood known for poverty, violence, and limited opportunity but I always believed I was different. I was called delusional and overly optimistic for having big dreams, but that mindset is exactly what turned me into a generational curse breaker.
Creativity and optimism aren't soft traits they're power tools. And I want this generation to know you can defeat the odds, you can break through, and you can win no matter your starting point.
They always say a great business person finds the problem and provides a solution. So if you think about it, challenges, make us who we are at times. Understanding to embrace hurdles and challenges can sometimes help us provide solutions to people who really need them. If we looked at life in a way where we only seek out the solutions and never embrace our challenges, we would never know what exactly we need to overcome. Bill Duff once said, we all have our cross to carry.
How have you overcome a trial and tribulation as a company using creativity and optimism?
There have been many challenges on my path, creating not just one, but multiple businesses. I've been in the industry over 6 years building my portfolio to include Avalon Medical Solutions, a medical hair and wig company which provides custom solutions for women facing hair loss due to medical conditions, financial advising, a funding firm, and now my newest tech brand Match Mode, that's in the gaming space. Balancing all of these as a young black woman, while also fighting the statistics of where I come from, hasn't been easy. I didn't grow up around CEOs - I became one.
I had no roadmap, no handouts, just a vision and the willingness to figure it out. Most would've gotten overwhelmed or discouraged, but I leaned into creativity, I built
everything from scratch. Even when I didn't have all the answers I trusted that my imagination and resourcefulness would make a way. That optimism is what allowed me to see opportunities where most see limitations.
I don't wait for doors to open I build them. And every time I get tested I rise higher. That’s what makes me and my companies unstoppable.

Sometimes the individuals in the worst of the worst environments, the ones who you see who don’t blame their surroundings on their outcome, tend to be extremely successful. Through the times when it’s most difficult and you remember your morals principles, and everything you believe in you begin to shape your own life into what you see it to be.
What are your beliefs of how we can all be characterized as equal being as humans we all have the trait of being creative and optimistic.
We are all born equal in potential. It's just some of us remember it. Creativity and optimism aren't reserved for the chosen few they’re human traits. The difference is some people stop believing in themselves once life gets hard. I never did. That belief! Even when I had nothing is what carried me.
I grew up on the West side of Chicago, where violence and limitations are normal. But I believed I could rewrite the script. That's what creativity and optimism really are, tools to build a life bigger than your circumstances. I didn't inherit a legacy, I’m building one.
If you take someone who’s been confined to limited access and sit them down for multiple years at a time, the human brain often resorts to being creative in ways of utilizing your surroundings you never thought you would imagine.
How hard is it to stay creative and what would you say to somebody experiencing this same issue ?
Staying creative can be one of the hardest things when life starts lifing! It's easy to feel blocked when you are overwhelmed and doubting yourself. I've had moments where I felt uninspired, disconnected from my purpose, or even questioned if I was good enough. For example, there were times I lost interest in doing hair which was my passion. But I've learned that creativity isn't something you force it's something you feel. And when you're aligned, it flows.
I would tell anyone out there struggling with creativity to stop looking out there and start looking within. Like the great Lauren Hill said “How you win if you are not right within” Creativity lives in stillness, in silence, in play, in healing. Go take a walk. Dance. Cry. Laugh. Breath. Remember who you were before the world told you who to be. And don't forget, your creativity isn't gone its just waiting on you.

EvenRights was designed to eliminate negative stereotypes and promote creativity, optimism, and equality. Understanding that you can learn something from the person who once had it all and lost everything. Just because they don’t have anything at this very
moment, does not mean in any way shape or form that you cannot learn from that individual. That the individual does not have an abundance of knowledge to offer you if you’re willing to listen. Being judgmental against others can sometimes limit our capability of growth. Even in the sales world, a floor salesman once had an experience where a man and a wife with a bunch of tattoos all over their bodies, walked into the showroom floor to purchase material. Everyone else judged them and didn’t rush to their service and offer water or see how they could help. However, one gentleman did exactly that and ended up closing an $80,000 flooring remodel. Understanding that equality crosses the boundaries of financial, sex, race, and religion. Will take you very far in life.
Will equality be something your brand will promote after this publication interview ?
Equality has always been embedded into the foundation of who I am and what I represent. This interview isn't the beginning, it's just the spotlight on something I've been living and building toward my entire life.
I came from a place where we weren't handed opportunity. We had to create it. And now that I've built something real, I’ve committed to using my platform to show others especially women, young people, and anyone who’s ever felt overlooked that they belong in every room. That their voice matters. That they can lead, create, and break ceilings too.
Equity isn't just a message for my brand, it's a mission. Whether through my medical hair company serving people with hair loss, my financial firm helping others access capital, or my gaming brand empowering underrepresented creators in tech, I'm building spaces where everyone can win.

Name and business partners and team members of your brand. What it takes to function your operation.
I've built the core of my businesses and brands with my own two hands and unwavering vision I am the Founder and Operator wearing many hats. From strategist, creative director, and brand developer to systems architect and leader.
I've recently welcomed a spiritual aligned business partner Lavell Hollaway, who shares the same heart, purpose, and divine mission for the medical solutions division. His presence adds a grounded yet powerful energy to this unfolding vision.
When it comes to bringing my brand to life visually, Devon Kidd of Somekiddsphotography has contributed his incredible eye and talent behind his lens. He holds full creative credit for the photography featured in this story.
Our goal is to provide layout for the future generation. Typically when someone has a child and they become a young adult, the parent is often trying to impute knowledge into the child so that they avoid issues that the parent has already experienced. Sometimes that can be a major task in itself. However, from a business perspective, understanding items that you
could’ve done better will help you grow and bring everybody’s value up who is attached to your entity.
If there’s was three things you could have done different, earlier , or better while building your brand . What would it have been ?
First it would be enjoying my journey sooner! I was so focused on the end result that I missed the magic in the process. The process is what shapes you. It's what makes your story special. Most people rush through it but that's where the real gold is in the process.
Additionally, I would have moved with boldness not perfection. I used to wait until things were perfect now I know the magic is in showing up boldly before it all makes sense. The answer comes after the action!
And last but not least, understanding my power sooner! The key is to remember who you are and live in your purpose. Your greatest superpower is going within and learning your own strength. Had I known that sooner the better!
In human nature, we find it comfortable to be set in our ways after such a long time period. There's plenty of people who could use the tool of emotional intelligence to understand that growth never stops. No matter what we know, no matter how much we practice. We can always continue to get better.
Taking the time to cater to a primarily adult audience. What can we teach our adult audience to do in order to be examples of equality for our youth.
In today's society we have to realize as adults the youth is not listening to what we say they're watching who we are. The best way to teach equality is to embody it. We have to unlearn a lot of what society has taught us, so we don't pass those limitations down. That means going within and doing the inner work. Healing, choosing empathy over ego, and allowing ourselves to evolve. We have to show and not tell. Really become leaders and lead by example.
EvenRights Laron Bailey came across Chevey during an investment meeting where all parties are contributing
Do you believe in the right to bear arms & how important do you think it is to be able to do so in this day and age.
Safety is very important in today's society and everyone should be able to protect themselves in this day and age. I believe in being educated, trained, and responsible when it comes to firearms. It's not about fear, it's about knowing you can protect yourself. Graduating from CPFTA - the Chicago police and fire training academy. In 2017 helped me to understand how important it is to be aware of safety and protection. That academy along with growing up in a high crime and poverty community made me understand that self protection could be a necessity in these times today.

If we circle back to always wanting to grow, always seeking ways to excel. Utilizing that same mindset in areas where one may be of service to a community is extremely valuable. EvenRights wholeheartedly believes having this mindset within entities that are at service to our communities will not only make the individuals in our community feel more comfortable and safe. But honestly, we think this would protect the entities that service our community with documentation stating their strive for growth in wanting to be better even though in such strong positions of power.
Do you think educational tutorials for police officers of how equality, creativity and optimism may be able to better decision making officers are forced to make in the field.
Not only do Police officers need tutorials for equality, creativity and optimism to help make better decisions in the field. Additional schools, community centers and world wide this should be practiced. We're in a time where the system needs to evolve. Not just with rules, but with energy! I am big on energy and by definition energy is the capacity or ability to do work or cause change. With that being said we as a whole can shift the energy of the world with humanity and equality. Equality reminds officers that every life matters equally regardless of race, income, or background!
The tobacco industry is constantly frowned upon in commercials. Do you think people have a choice whether to smoke tobacco. Or is there something that influences them beyond measure to even become addicted.
I believe health is wealth! And alignment is key, if you have your mind, body, and spirit aligned that is the real wealth. Society needs a better representation of tools and strategies to cope and deal with pain. According to a study published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) 46.5% of smokers report they smoke primarily to relieve pain. Yes, it is a choice but with that being said most people are just missing additional tools and resources to cope with pain. If we had more commercials on therapy and mental health and less promotion on tobacco brands the world will evolve! And the world will become a better place.
How can we strengthen the curriculum of schools with more life awareness skills and strategies .
In college, while receiving my associates degree was one of the first times I learned about emotional intelligence, psychology, tech and business. These subjects should be initiated in children's brains starting in middle school! Children should not have to wait until they are in college to receive these needed core values. These seeds should be planted and installed way sooner and should be implemented just as much as basic core subjects in schools. The mind is powerful and seeds need to be planted sooner to help children prepare for life . “I believe the children are our future” Whitney Houston.

Would you support the bill to eliminate private prisons.
Northwestern IL University is where it all started with me learning in depth about the justice systems and prisons. I received my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice studies in Dec 2017.Then worked as an intern for the Cook County Domestic Violence Division, so I deeply understand how the current prison system often lacks not just equality, but humanity.
After reviewing the act and having knowledge in my particular background in law I believe that it is important to discuss the ethical standpoint for profit incarceration. It turns incarceration into a business model which shifts the energy and the focus from really helping people with rehabilitation and justice and more towards profit and control. I am all for Raising the vibration of humanity and energy therefore the bill to eliminate private prisons has my support.
How do you look at life is the cup of water half full or half empty. This really determines so much in our society. EvenRights strongly believe that it’s important to teach our youth how to not focus on the problems and understand them but focus more on the solutions. Having emotional intelligence from you to an adult is extremely valuable for any human to maintain a healthy mental stability. Understand that the small pebble can make the biggest ripples so the small footsteps towards the solution can still have an extremely strong impact.
